The Australian National Capital Artists Inc (ANCA) seeks expressions of interest (EOI) from suitably qualified and committed people to join its volunteer Board.
ANCA is an independent not-for-profit artist-run initiative in Canberra providing affordable, professional studios and exhibition space for artists. There are 35 studio spaces leased to artists across two campuses at Dickson and Mitchell. Our Gallery presents a professional program of art exhibitions and events, supporting critical approaches to contemporary arts practice.
ANCA is seeking a new Board member who has a passionate interest in the Arts and a willingness to contribute their professional expertise to its governance. Skills in philanthropic fund raising, building design or facility management, or human resources are highly desirable. Apart from attending and participating in monthly Board meetings, you may be called on to assist in ad hoc projects. In exchange we offer the opportunity to make a positive contribution to a very special place that makes a difference to diverse artists at all phases of their careers.
An EOI stating what you can bring to ANCA’s Board, along with a detailed resume, should be emailed to the Board Chair, Karen Lee, at board@anca.net.au by 9am on Monday 29th May 2023. EOIs will be considered by the Board in early February with interviews of those shortlisted following soon after.
